Job Description:
Hope Cooperative is looking for a Certified Medication Aide to join the team and provide support to our residents.
You will be responsible for supporting clients with daily activities of daily living.
Hope Cooperative Care is a long term care health care facility that provides exceptional care to our patients.
Our Certified Medication Aides are the backbone of our service team and play a vital role in providing support to our residents, ensuring their well being, and ensuring their transition into their future.
Requirements:
Will assist with certifaction and licence if needed.
Must be able to work well with others and be a team player.
Must have great communication skills and be able to follow instructions and make decisions on behalf of the resident.
Must have great time management skills and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must have great compassion for the elderly and be able to handle changefully demanding residents in our skilled nursing and sub-acute care center.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Support resident independence by doing tasks according to instructions from residents Support resident transition by working with residents through physical therapy exercises, taking them for walks, helping them use the bathroom, etc.
Check on residents daily by calling nursing staff or physicians and using the appropriate nursing skills for the resident's condition and or health status Communicate with physicians as needed for treatment or patient status Take medical records for physicians Assist physicians with procedures as directed by physicians Monitor patients' condition during procedures or patient changes in condition Change patients' medication at scheduled times during the day Assist with transferring patients from exam rooms to rooms for treatment or procedure under physician's direction Provide assistance to patients in need of assistance due to illness or injury in person or via phone message/email Keep exam rooms and patient waiting areas clean and organized Shower patients after examinations/visits/treatments/etc.
